What is a SET Private Wallet?
A SET Private Wallet is a set of self-custodial wallets created by Privy when you sign in with your email, paired with your own US account and routing numbers from Bridge. Money you send to those numbers from a bank arrives in your wallet as USDC, USDT or PYUSD, and you can cash stablecoins out to your US bank.
How much does it cost?
Opening a Private Wallet and receiving your deposit details is free. SET charges a 3% service fee on each bank deposit and each cash-out, which Bridge withholds from the amount it converts or pays out and which is shown before you confirm. Bridge's own fee and any network fee appear on Bridge's receipt.
Who holds my money?
You do. Privy's wallets are non-custodial: keys are protected in secure enclaves and sharded so they are never stored whole, and only you can approve a transaction. Bridge moves the money between your bank and your wallet under its money transmitter licenses. SET never holds your funds or your keys.
Which stablecoins and chains can I receive?
USDC on Base, Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche or Solana; USDT on Ethereum or Solana; and PYUSD on Ethereum or Solana. Bridge's minimum is $1 per deposit for USDC and PYUSD and $20 for USDT. Bank deposits cannot arrive as Bitcoin, because Bridge has no Bitcoin route.
Who can send money to my account number?
You can, from your own bank, fintech app or brokerage. Bridge also accepts payroll from businesses, payments from a registered business, payments from a family member who shares your surname, and person-to-person payments under $4,000. Third-party payments are not supported for New York or Texas.
Who can open a Private Wallet?
US residents, except residents of New York, whom Bridge does not serve. You verify your identity once with Bridge before your deposit details are issued.
